IIS4 served pages byte count off by one

I recently encountered a strange problem when I upgraded two of my servers
from IIS3 to IIS4. The install went fine, and everything that really
matters seems to be working okay. However, the service that monitors our
sites is now reporting, at somewhat random intervals, that the byte count
of the pages loaded from these servers is not what it should be (it comes
out with one less byte than it should). This was not happening with IIS3.
Has anyone seen this problem before? I've been combing the web trying to
find an explanation, but so far no luck.
