We have a separate service called "billing charge" which in this case would
be $5.05 per month. The advantage is that the customer then sees this as a
separate line item encouraging him to switch to credit card (if this is what
you want).

Hello dale

We are having the following small problem.

We installed a second terminal server for cable connections.
It will athenticate OK against radius.. the users get on-line no
problem. also the statitics of the user are running ok.

However I am not able to get them showed in the call-online view from
emerald. The screen for the secondary terminal server stayes blank

do you have any sugestions where to look for

Yours sincerely

Sorry, I phrased that wrong. I'm quite certain, and was when I wrote the
message, that Emerald was capable of doing this. What I was trying to
state was that Emerald was not doing what it seemed to be supposed to be
doing (gawd, what an awful sentence that is!). Emerald was not behaving
either as I believed it should, or as an intuitive user should expect.
That's not criticism, but a plea for help.

>Emerald does not send email for CCs. It never has. We are working on

Doh! That just made me a liar to many, many customers. Oh, well. Is
it in v2.5?

However, note the above sequence. I generated the invoices, then clicked
on EMail, BEFORE printing the invoices. Nothing in the sent date should
be set. Besides, this version of Emerald, when I click print, asks
explicitly if I want to "mark these invoices as sent" and I always answer
"no". The problem seems to have been answered above, however, when you
say that Emerald doesn't E-mail credit card invoices, and that you're
working on it. That's good enough for me.

>Email the invoices before printing them. That will ensure that the
>ones to be emailed, are infact emailed.

But, as you mentioned before, this seems to apply only to Renewal or
Invoice customers -- if the billing type is CREDIT CARD, then they will
NEVER receive a copy of it by Email, in this version of Emerald (2.1.11),
correct? I just need to know, so I can tell my customers whay to expect...

If you look at the calls table, what is reported for the NAS-Port?
What type did you select in the Emerald admin when you created the
server?

We are working on E-Mail receipt of CC charges for 2.5. It is notavailable in prior versions.

HI

I am in a rather Glib Mood tonight, but have a real question.

During the course of the day I work with 2 different workstations. A P166and a PII 333. The first with Win95 and the second with Win98{yuch}.

Here's the story:

We have Emerald 2.2.38 Installed on about 8 computers here. Staff on 6 andMe on My 2.

On my 2 Computers "EVERY" time I open an MBR It Automatically opens thefirst Sub Account to the "General Tab".

I can go to EVERY other computer on our network and this doesn't happen. Ican try, the user can try and it doesn't happen. They walk over to mycomputers and wala it happens.

I admit that sometimes this is handy, but this is the end of our billingperiod so we get the usual pile of "why can't I get on" calls, so the firstplace I want to check is the "Billing Tab".

Dale, can't you make it so that from the 16th of the month to the 20th itwill Auto Open the "Billing Tab" and on all other days open the sub account???

Smile

I still wonder what is different about the way Emerald works on MY computers.

Click File | Preferences | and take the CHECK OFF Direct Edit (SA) and it will no longer open the SubAccount (SA)
