Dale,

To add a sub account under an MBR do you have to do anything except add
the sub account? Like adding to a counter etc. I want the customer to be
able to add sub accounts to there using ASP.

Subject: re-Installing Emerald database
From: "Jay Kerr" <gkerr@whro.net>

OK, I am stumped.

I set up Emerald a couple of months ago to evaluate. It installed with no
problems. Now that I have played with it and mucked up the database, I am
ready to get down to business. To get as fresh start, I deleted that
database in preparation for setting up my real database and going "live".
Now I cannot for the life of me get Emerald to create a new database.

It just tells me:

Create Device Failed.
Please check the Device settings and Retry

I have double checked that my .dat file was deleted on my SQL server. I have
tried installing with a different device name. I have reinstalled Emerald
Admin from scratch. Nothing has changed on my network since I did the
original installation.

If anyone has any suggestions, I am open to them.

Thanks,
Jay Kerr

Guys
I have some preoblems here. When the users get conneted on weekends they
appear to be connected when really they are not. Then when I try to release
them from the cemerald online option the response is that SQL CAN'T ERASE
THE ONLINE USER or something like that.

I Tried to do a Truncate directly to the tabls in the SQL console but
this didn't work.

Any of you have ideas about it?

Thanks

Use the Emerald Admin, COnfig Radiusn, Server Ports and uncheck
the "online" checkbox for the port the user is mis-listed on.

Question for anyone using the SERV-U dll.

I have it installd and it appears to initialize ok however when I =connect as a user it rejects the password.

The client software(cute FTP) reports user name ok then invalid =password.

on the serv-u side I getip name whatever.mydomain.comclosing connection

Not a whole lot of logging available

I thought It might have to do with home directories defined in Emerald. =I have tried using full UNC in emerald for path as well as typed as the =local path on the FTP server (ie d:\ftpusers) but to no avail

Any help would be appreciated

Enterprise Manager will not let me as far as I can tell.Unfortunately, you can't in SQL Server. The two options you have isto rebuild the table (like bcp the info out, break the relationships,re-create the table, and bcp the information back in, and re-createthe relationships. The other option is to rename the old column andcreate a new one with the login name. I wish there was an easierway. :(-- Dale E. Youcan expand the database device (Usually EmerDev) by double-clicking on it in Enterprise Manager and then the database onto that databasedevice by double the Emerald database and expanding it onto the EmerDevdevice.-- Dale E.
