Subject: Bug With Emerald

We have multiple workstations on our network where people can take
applications for our internet service. We just discovered that if one of
these people starts Emerald, enters their password, selects the database,
and then hits CANCEL, Dr. Watson takes over from a fatal error.
I have enclosed as an attachment the Dr. Watson log file from this action:
Hope you can figure this out,
Murrah Boswell

The NT-Mail Dll works great for me.
The accounts get created in emerald.
NTMail attempts to verify any POP3 client against it's own internal
database. If that fail's, it then checks against the NT User database if
you have that option selected. If that fails (or is not used) it then
checks the DLL for external verification.
The only problem that I have noticed with this is that if the SQL server is
shut down and restarted you must do the same to the Mail Services otherwise
they will quit authenticating.
As my workstation has an e-mail accounts that authenticate via each method
listed above, I am quickly aware if there is a failure so I do not forget to
restart the mail services for very long:)

OK, I am stumped......
I have seperated my Logs to a different device (device name EmeraldLogs) and
made the changes and "Expanded" the data base.
When I double click on the Emerald Database I am shown that the Log Size is
250 MB (The size I set it to) and that Log Space Available is 0.00 MB
I have truncated the log to no avail.... Is this a bug in MS SQL server 6.5
, am I out of log space!, or am I just not understanding something?
(Everything does seem to be running fine....)

Run a "Dbbc checkdb(emerald)" and it will more likely correcy
the log problem.

Greg, please try the EmerAuth.dll file that is available at:
ftp://ftp.iea-software.com/RadiusNT/Enterprise/EmerAuth.zip
This includes a fairly extensive re-write of the dll and has beenre-connecting when we shut down the SQL Server. Make sure you triple-check and re-read the documentation included, since it doesNOT use the same registry settings as the old emer_ntm.dll did.
