many, try doing a search at yahoo or lycos or altavista for "free usenet
news" or something similar. they usually are lists compiled by
warezers, so it usually takes a bit of searching through the list to
find a couple that still work. But there's one or two that I've used in
the past when my ISP's was down that are around all the time. I believe
they are in korea, but i've had decent luck with throughput....
