I've looked everywhere I can think of and have seen nothing but
problems. I noted that on our system, in the Task Manager,
an instance of Perl.exe, cmd.exe, and the called program
(whatever.exe) are started, but hang forever, and can't be killed.
Pure Perl runs like a champ, but forget calling another program.

We also built a simple VB executable that uses STDOUT to return
the environment variables back to the web page, and called it directly
from the HTML. Works on IIS3, sends nothing on IIS4. Which is
presumably why the programs called from Perl hang - they can't
pass data.

Ideas, anyone?

TIA

Terry
