No....you will not keep the current applications installations/configurations.
By reinstall, we mean you have to actually have a "fresh" copy of NT
installed. You can't just choose to "upgrade" or "repair" the installation.
This doesn't mean it has to format the partition, because it doesn't, but it
has to reestablish the entire NT structure, wiping out all existing
application installations. However, using Microsoft's SMS, you can easily,
*easily* work around this.
