On some counts I agree but having been with some of the largest ISPs in the
country I have to disagree with you on one or two things. It is alright to
put the numbers in the dial up networking connection. As a matter of fact,
quite often, on older versions (not patched) of Windows 95, you will need to
do this or DUN will not be able to establish a PPP connection. Also I have
never seen a problem with using Dial-Up Networking "Make new Connection, to
create a connection. The onl7y thing is that if you use the make new
connection icon, you will need to manually enter IP addresses if you have a
static IP.
