Portmaster 2e and would like to upgrade to 56k can anyone advise your =
experience and what is the best way to do so. If possible advise =
equipment requirements. Any response with regards to rockwell to us =

We chose the least expensive method we could find. We got a USR MPi-16 =
which uses 8 BRI ports and divides the channels to offer 16 lines for =
EITHER X2-56k or ISDN access. You plug them in via DB25 to a portmaster =
and you are off. The down side of this is that you can't differentiate =
between X2 callers and 28k callers.=20

Be sure to get a clear provisioning for the lines and we chose analog =
hunting (vs. digital) because we expect more traffic from X2.

Good luck.
