MP, MPP (multilink)

Does anyone know how to configure an account properly for multilink
protocol?

We have a WinNT 4.0 machine (SP2 with the RAS-fix) that we're testing and
it has 2 USRobotics Sportster 33.6 modems in it which are working just
fine. NT is already set up for multilink and successfully dials up to our
service, using both modems, simultaneously. As soon as both modems
connect, and the multilink starts to combine channels, the "remote end"
disconnects the calls.

For the account I'm using to dialup, the Login Limit is set to 2 and it is
set up as a PPP account (like all other users) with the following Radius
settings (these are in the specific subaccount Radius tab):

Attribute Value AttribID ValueID
-----------------------------------------------------------
User-Service Framed-User 6 2
Framed-Protocol MPP 7 256
Ascend-Maximum-Channels 2 235 2
Ascend-Idle-Limit 1200 244 1200

When I do a "show users" on the Max 4004 console, the two instances of this
login are listed as "MPP" instead of "MP" like everyone else.

Unfortunately, looking at the "Ascend-Disconnect-Cause" is pointless,
because anytime Windows NT 4.0 (not sure about 3.x) disconnects, the
Ascend-Disconnect-Cause = 11, which is
"noModemLossCarrier -- DCD detected but went inactive"
This is true even for normall PPP dialup sessions with NT.

If anyone could shed some light on either one of these issues, I'd
appreciate it.

Thanks,
