I've been using the sony SDK-5000 and SDK-5100 for a while and I have
had
a lot of problem with data recovery. I get error like bad block and
error reading data. I have had this problem with nt 3.51 and 4.0
adaptec and promise scsi-2 and scsi serveral different backup programs
interal and external. I discovered that it sucked. I now use a WangDat
and it works flawless. I also use BackupExec to backup 7 servers(solid
program).

There is my 1/2 cent worth.
