Invhead.txt, et al

I'm finally ready (I hope) to begin billing through Emerald. I printed out
a single Invoice, manually created, for service in Feb, as an experiment.
I noticed in the ReadMe.TXT that you can use invhead.txt, invbody.txt and
invfoot.txt to add text (such as the address to send payment) to the
Invoice, so I created them in the C:\PROGRAM FILES\EMERALD directory.
Didn't do anything.
Well, reports don't seem to be live if they are in that directory, either,
so I put them in the defined Report directory and also in C:\. Neither
helped. I don't seem to be able to add any text to the invoice.
Is that a feature only for Batch created Invoices, or am I missing
something?
