Brad,
Did you adjust the SQL setting that tells how much memory to allocate when
it's started? I think by default it's only 16MB. If the memory is real
low, I think the processor is also negatively affected (if SQLServer is
what's sucking up most of the CPU resources)--check the Task Manager.
