Hi Dale,
Thanks for the reply. I tried a session timeout as high as 1200 but
still no luck. I am using a Livingston Portmaster. The manual for the
portmaster does tell me that I can add a session timeout line to the
radius file. This is a typical customer setting in radius:

username Password = "password"
User-Service = Framed-User,
Framed-Protocol = PPP,

Any suggestions?
