We installed Emerald on a machine with a private IP address assigned to it.
Let's call it "PC-INT".
It ran well until we deleted all static routes (in our Cisco router) between
our intranet and our internet connection.
The intranet happens to have an MS Proxy Server 2.0 machine running on it
that serves as its only link to the internet.
Our research shows us that the only way to communicate with our Emerald /
SQL Server 6.5 machine (on the internet side) was to install a winsock
client on PC-INT and point the winsock client to the MS Proxy Server
machine.
After installing the winsock client, we tried iSQL_w and it ran well. We
even ran a SELECT statement on it and got the correct results from Emerald's
MasterAccounts table.
But when we ran Emerald, we got an "Operating System ..." error.
Does anyone know how to solve this problem ?
