Ok, we want to bill monthly based on the day someone signed up for service.
Not just on the 1st of every month. We are getting overwhelmed at the 1st
of eveyr month. We want to run batches every night.

No. There are two seperate pieces to a billing cycle:

Anniversary vs. Monthly

Renewal vs. Balance Forward

You choose one from each of them to define a billing cycle.
