Its not an Authentication. Ascends allow you to save configuration
information in RADIUS, rather than on the box. For example, banners,
profiles, destinations, etc. It will first try its specific name
(MAX3 below), then without it. Its a nice idea, but if you don't use
it, its very annoying.
