[RadiusNT] External Access Slow

I don't think this is a RadiusNT problem, but it involves external access
to the Radius database. To make a long story as short as possible, this is
the sequence of events: (We are running RadiusNT 2.5 using Access database
on NT 4.0 SP3)
- I added SNMP service to the server some time ago, but did not reboot the
server because I did not want to shut down Radius.
- For some unknown reason the server decided to reboot one day, and of
course it would not reboot properly because the Service Pack had to be
reinstalled. When it couldn't find INETMIB1.DLL, it would not load TCP/IP
properly.
- Once we noticed it was down, the service pack was reinstalled and the
server restarted.
- The database was corrupted, so we had to load a backup copy and bring it
up to date.

So far everything sounds normal, and RadiusNT seems to be operating OK. The
problem we have now is that any external access to the database is very
slow, and we don't have a clue why. It is so slow that in some cases our
programs time out waiting for a response. Any ideas out there?
