You shouldn't need to truncate your log if you have a couple options set for
that database. Go into the database's properties and click on the Options
tab. If you select "Truncate log on checkpoint" you won't have to worry
about this anymore. I also have "Select into / bulk copy" selected, but I
don't remember why.
