[Emerald] Call Online missing

I have been happily running EM2.5/RNT .278 for 6 months.
Occasionally a logged in user will not show up in my calls online. This is
not a worry as it was about 1 in 100 calls. In the last week I have noticed
that it has turned into 1 in 2 users are not seen in the OnLine area.
How does this problem happen ?
Is there some routine house cleaning that I must do to keep this working?
