This was just installed from the latest distribution which was
downloaded 10 minutes prior to my first message.

I had already gotten the new p2sodbc.dll from the ftp site.

The log shows that they are upto date

ACTION: SharedFile: "C:\WINNT\system32\p2sodbc.dll"
(File currently on disk was already up to date)

ACTION: SharedFile: "C:\WINNT\system32\crpe32.dll"
(File currently on disk was already up to date)

ACTION: SharedFile: "C:\WINNT\system32\u2ddisk.dll"
(File currently on disk was already up to date)
