[Emerald] creating an invoice for new service

In Emerald 2.5.322, I added a service to an existing billing record and when
asked whether or not to create an invoice for this, I chose yes.
New invoice info:
Previous balance: $ 0.00
Current: $20.33
Start - End: 1/10/2000 - 6/26/2000
Details:

The service is a $5.00/month service, so how come the total is only 20.33
instead of about $27.50 (5.5 months * 5.00)? The service doesn't have any
discounts applied to it (termed, etc.)

The customer's other service costs $19.95/month but it's termed-discounted
because he pays semi-annually, making it $16.62/month * 6 = $99.72 or $99.75
(depending on what version Emerald is being used). His last invoice was
from 12/26/1999 - 6/26/2000 and was for $99.75 (and was paid in full on
12/14/1999).
