When you login with SQL Manager, are you using "Emerald" for the server
name? Does that server name match what you put in for the server in
Emerald?

The one big difference between the SQL 7 tools and Emerald, is that all
SQL 7 tools use the SQL ODBC driver, whereas Emerald uses the DB-LIB
API (no ODBC). If you have SQL 6.5, I'd be curious if install the
6.5 client fixes the problem.
